About the Role:
The primary role of the Store Supervisor is to oversee inventory handling, drive sales, provide customer service, maintain biosecurity and hygiene standards to ensure financial and regulatory compliance, and lead the shop team effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory operations by receiving stock, verifying quantities against delivery notes, updating bin cards daily and maintaining strict adherence to FIFO and SOPs.
- Conduct weekly physical stock takes and investigate any variances
- Maintain optimal shop storage and biosecurity conditions, including the physical care of chicks in holding rooms and monitoring environmental controls.
- Coordinate stock dispatch and customer deliveries.
- Manage chick and feed sales by processing orders, generating invoices and providing all required sales documentation.
- Handle cash transactions strictly in line with financial controls by immediately depositing customer payments into the company accounts.
- Deliver strong customer service by resolving queries, organizing third-party transport logistics, and making follow-up calls to collect feedback.
- Enforce full team compliance with all company SOPs, quality assurance (QA) requirements, safety procedures, and local statutory regulations
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a store or warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stocktaking procedures, and compliance.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve set targets.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and basic supervisory skills, combined with high integrity
- Experience in the poultry industry is an added advantage.
