Job Overview

Biox Soap & Detergent Production Import – Export Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Sales Representative to promote and sell its wide range of soap, detergent, and cleaning products across Dar es Salaam. This field sales role focuses on conducting daily customer visits, acquiring new business accounts, expanding market availability, and building long-term commercial relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Sales & Market Coverage: Conduct daily field visits to retail shops, wholesalers, supermarkets, and prospective business clients within assigned sales territories.
• Customer Acquisition & Account Management: Identify new retail/wholesale accounts to increase BIOX product distribution while maintaining regular contact with existing clients to secure repeat orders.
• Sales Targets & Product Presentation: Present product features, pricing, and benefits clearly to prospective buyers to achieve agreed sales volume and new customer acquisition targets.
• Recordkeeping & Financial Accountability: Maintain meticulous records of sales transactions, payment collections, and any company stock entrusted to your care.
• Reporting & Market Intelligence: Submit daily reports summarizing customer visits, orders placed, collections made, customer feedback, and observed competitor activities to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of practical field sales experience, preferably in soaps, detergents, household cleaning goods, or other fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
• Strong, practical knowledge of retail and wholesale market hubs across Dar es Salaam.
• Academic qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to organize daily field itineraries and operate productively with minimal supervision.
• High integrity, strong sense of personal responsibility, and comfort with target-driven environments.
