JOB DETAILS:
HR Harmony, on behalf of our client, is seeking a skilled, friendly, and customer oriented Barista / Coffee Specialist to prepare high quality coffee and other beverages, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain cleanliness and efficiency within the café.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve high quality coffee, espresso based drinks, and other hot and cold beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
- Welcome customers, explain menu options, recommend beverages, and handle customer requests professionally.
- Take orders accurately and process cash, mobile money, and other payments methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café, including workstations, equipment, counters, and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies, and report stock shortages.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and customer experience.
- Report equipment malfunctions and support routine maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Atleast 2-3 years of previous experience as a Barista
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and grinders.
- Basic knowledge of latte art and different coffee varieties is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, welcoming attitude.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to handle payments accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
