Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager – Human Resources will provide strategic leadership across the bank’s people-management functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing human resources strategies aligned with the bank’s business objectives.
Leading talent acquisition, workforce planning and succession management.
Driving performance management, employee engagement and organizational culture.
Overseeing employee relations, compensation, benefits and compliance with labour laws.
Championing employee learning, leadership development and talent retention.
Providing strategic human resources advisory support to management.
The role combines strategic HR planning with responsibility for employee development, regulatory compliance and effective workforce management.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
Have a minimum of seven years of professional human resources experience, including at least three years in a managerial role.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and established human resources best practices.
Possess excellent leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills.
A relevant master’s degree and professional certification will be considered additional advantages.
Understanding the Experience Requirements
The vacancy distinguishes between overall HR experience and management experience.
Candidates need at least seven years of HR experience, with three of those years spent in a managerial role. The three managerial years are part of the overall experience requirement, rather than an additional three years on top of the seven.
