JOB DETAILS:
HALOTEL TANZANIA is seeking a RADIO STAFF to join their team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor radio network quality, maintaining and improving daily network performance.
- Design call-off and configuration data to integrate and broadcast new sites.
- Manage radio databases concerning sites, parameters and radio resources.
- Perform on-site optimization based on solutions developed independently or provided by a supervisor.
- Evaluate network quality trends and report findings to superiors.
- Perform driving tests and benchmarking.
- Prepare data for network rescue, audits, radio parameter synchronization and cut-over activities.
- Record driving tests and analyse log files.
- Set up TEMS software, including connection methods and software functions.
- Practise driving tests for all scenarios.
- Analyse log files for optimization purposes, identify root causes and determine appropriate solutions.
- Conduct Single Site Verification (SSV) by checking site databases against the design.
- Conduct acceptance testing of new sites in accordance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot major hardware faults in BTS/NodeB equipment.
- Understand BTS/NodeB hardware structures, component functions and connections in different configurations.
- Learn about antenna types, key antenna parameters, mechanical and electrical tilt, azimuth and antenna height.
- Conduct on-site practical work involving component connections.
- Identify major faults, understand their causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Resolve customer complaints by directly supporting, managing and addressing complaints concerning 2G/3G/4G network quality.
- Monitor and optimize 2G, 3G and 4G Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Must have at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with Huawei, ZTE and Nokia equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
- Willingness to work in regional locations or at the headquarters, depending on experience.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Fresh graduates with good skills and knowledge are encouraged to apply.
