JOB DETAILS:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in outpatient departments, inpatient wards and other assigned clinical units.
- Conduct nursing assessments, monitor patients' health conditions and identify changes requiring medical intervention.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while observing established nursing procedures and patient safety standards.
- Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with attending medical practitioners.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation.
- Provide nursing support during medical emergencies, minor surgical procedures and other clinical interventions.
- Participate in maternal and child healthcare services, including antenatal care, postnatal care and routine reproductive health services, where assigned.
- Supervise and provide professional guidance to assistant nurses and other supporting nursing personnel.
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication adherence, disease prevention, personal hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure proper nursing documentation, patient handovers and reporting of clinical incidents.
- Promote infection prevention and control, proper waste disposal and compliance with hospital nursing standards.
Requirements
- Relevant academic and professional qualifications for the position applied for.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence, where applicable.
- Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism and commitment to quality patient care.
