JOB DETAILS:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical assessments, diagnoses and treatment for patients presenting with various medical conditions.
- Lead the clinical management of patients with complex or serious medical conditions, ensuring appropriate treatment and continuity of care.
- Conduct ward rounds, review patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Manage medical emergencies, provide immediate interventions and coordinate referrals where specialized care is required.
- Oversee the clinical management of patients with chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases.
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to medical officers, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure appropriate use of diagnostic investigations, including laboratory tests and radiological examinations, to support clinical decision-making.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records, clinical reports and treatment documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical protocols.
- Promote patient safety, professional ethics and adherence to established healthcare standards.
Requirements
- Relevant academic and professional qualifications for the position applied for.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence, where applicable.
- Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism and commitment to quality patient care.
