Job Summary:
The French Teacher is responsible for introducing and teaching the French language to young learners. The focus will be on building a strong foundation in basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday conversational skills through an interactive and fun approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning: Design lesson plans covering basic grammar, vocabulary, and simple sentence construction.
- Interactive Teaching: Utilize songs, role-play, and games to make language learning engaging for children.
- Communication Skills: Improve students' listening comprehension and verbal expression.
- Assessment: Continuously assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Material Development: Create and source age-appropriate learning materials (worksheets, posters).
- Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, French, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Certification in French (DELF/DALF) is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching French to beginner learners (young children) is required.
- Native or near-native fluency in French and good command of English.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Kigamboni, Kibada, Uvumba Street.
- Working hours are typically Monday to Friday.
- Must be willing to participate in school events and professional development sessions.
