The Plant Manager will lead operational strategy, metallurgical performance, maintenance coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing a high-performing operations team and maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations & Production
- Lead daily mineral processing plant operations.
- Achieve production and recovery targets.
- Develop production plans and operating procedures.
- Maximize plant throughput and product quality.
- Minimize downtime and operational costs.
- Monitor crushing, grinding, screening, gravity concentration, and leaching processes.
- Analyze production and metallurgical performance data.
- Prepare operational reports and performance forecasts.
Process Improvement & Technical Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Education
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional registration or membership with a recognized engineering or mining body will be an added advantage.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- 8 to 10 years of mineral processing experience.
- At least 3 years in a Plant Manager, Senior Plant Superintendent, or similar leadership position.
- Previous gold processing experience is highly preferred.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams within mining operations.
- Experience in production planning, metallurgical accounting, maintenance coordination, and budgeting.
- Exposure to plant commissioning, process optimization, or expansion projects is advantageous.
- Experience within Tanzania or the East African mining sector is highly desirable.
