JOB DETAILS:

Habari Node Limited invites applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated candidates for the position of Network Operations Center Engineer – Level 2 (Core Engineer) to join its team in Arusha.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core Network Management: Monitor and maintain core network infrastructure and long-haul transport systems.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex routing issues and provide senior-level technical support to Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) teams.
• Network Operations: Lead critical maintenance activities, network deployments, and disaster recovery testing.
• Technology Evaluation: Design and lead Proof of Concept (POC) testing for new networking technologies and hardware.
• Incident Management: Perform initial incident triage, report incidents, and provide Level 1 operational support when required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

• A Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Computer Science/Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT support, or network operations environment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI model, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
• Mandatory MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) certification, together with either MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Proficiency in network monitoring platforms and ticketing systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative, team-oriented working style.
