Job Summary:
The Geography Teacher is responsible for teaching students the physical features of the earth, human-environment interactions, and map skills. The focus will be on helping students understand their immediate environment (Tanzania) in the context of the wider world.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical Geography: Teach about landforms, rivers, mountains, climate, and weather (with focus on Tanzania).
Human Geography: Discuss population, settlements, economic activities (agriculture, fishing, mining), and transportation in Tanzania.
Map Skills: Train students in interpreting maps, symbols, and directions.
Environmental Awareness: Promote environmental conservation and awareness of climate change.
Practical Learning: Use globes, atlases, and digital resources to aid understanding.
Lesson Planning: Design inquiry-based lessons to spark curiosity about the world.
Assessment: Develop and grade assignments, projects, and exams.
Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Geography, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian geography curriculum.
- Ability to simplify complex geographical concepts for children.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based in Kigamboni, Kibada, Uvumba Street.
Working hours are typically Monday to Friday.
Must be willing to participate in school events and professional development sessions.
