Job Summary:

The Civic and Moral Teacher plays a crucial role in the holistic development of students by instilling good citizenship, ethical values, and social responsibility. The teacher will guide students to understand their role in the community and nation (Tanzania).

Key Responsibilities:

• Values Education: Teach concepts of honesty, integrity, respect, cooperation, and responsibility.
• Civic Knowledge: Instruct students on the Tanzanian constitution, national symbols (Flag, National Anthem), and the rights/duties of a citizen.
• Social Skills: Facilitate discussions on social issues and interpersonal relationships.
• Interactive Lessons: Use real-life scenarios, storytelling, and debates to make concepts relatable.
• Character Building: Act as a role model and mentor to encourage positive behavior.
• Assessment: Evaluate students' understanding of concepts through written work and participation.
• Collaboration: Work with other teachers to ensure a positive school culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Civics, Sociology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of the Tanzanian education system and curriculum.
• Previous experience teaching Civics or Moral Education preferred.
• High level of integrity and a passion for nurturing young minds.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position based in Kigamboni, Kibada, Uvumba Street.
• Working hours are typically Monday to Friday.
• Must be willing to participate in school events and professional development sessions.
