HYDRA OPERATOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the Hydra safely and efficiently for lifting, loading, unloading and positioning of materials and equipment.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure the crane is in good working condition.
- Inspect boom, hook, wire ropes, hydraulic systems, tyres, brakes, outriggers, controls and safety devices.
- Ensure the crane is positioned on suitable and stable ground and outriggers are correctly deployed.
- Follow lifting procedures, signal instructions and operate within the crane's rated capacity.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental and operational requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Valid Mobile Crane/Hydra Operator’s Permit or relevant certification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience operating a Hydra/mobile crane.
- Experience in lifting, loading, unloading and positioning of materials and equipment.
- Knowledge of crane operation, lifting procedures and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and understand basic load charts.
- Physically fit, responsible and safety-conscious.
