Position: IT Data Science Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Data Science
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Or a related field
Experience with:
- SSRS
- SSAS
- Power BI
- Tableau
Experience using Power BI or Tableau in a production environment.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on BI and analytics development experience.
Relevant certifications are an advantage, including:
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
- Tableau Desktop Specialist
- Google Data Analytics
- AWS Certified Machine Learning
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, translate business objectives, service performance questions, and stakeholder requirements into analytical use cases.
Define analytical success criteria aligned with service and company requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain:
- Interactive dashboards
- Self-service reports
- SSRS reports
- SSAS cubes
Support operational and strategic decision-making across different teams.
Design, build, and evaluate:
- Statistical models
- Predictive models
- Machine-learning models
Develop and deploy machine-learning models for use cases including:
- Customer churn prediction
- Revenue forecasting
- Customer segmentation
- Anomaly detection
Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B test framework design to support:
- Product initiatives
- Marketing initiatives
- Operational initiatives
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify:
- Trends
- Risks
- Anomalies
- Improvement opportunities
Extend and maintain existing ML models, retraining and validating them as new data becomes available.
Design and maintain dimensional data models following OLAP best practices, including:
- Star schemas
- Snowflake schemas
- SSAS cubes
COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
- Excellent data analysis and visualization capability.
- Machine learning fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
