Background

Archbishop Mihayo University College of Tabora (AMUCTA) is seeking an Assistant Lecturer in Accounting. This role is crucial for the academic development and delivery of accounting programs within the institution.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Lecturer will be responsible for a range of teaching, research, and administrative duties. These include:

• Conducting lectures, tutorials, seminars, and other teaching activities in Accounting.
• Preparing teaching materials, course outlines, assignments, and assessment tools.
• Setting, administering, marking, and moderating examinations and other student assessments.
• Participating in research, scholarly publications, and consultancy activities.
• Supervising students’ research projects and academic assignments.
• Participating in curriculum development and review.
• Providing academic guidance and support to students.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the relevant authorities.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A relevant master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field, with a minimum GPA of 4.0.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
