JOB DETAILS:

The Farming and Food Processing Manager is responsible for the agricultural production and value-add processing of goods. This role ensures that the property’s farm-to-table concept is authentic, sustainable, and profitable, managing everything from planting schedules to final product packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crop Management: Plan and oversee the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of crops (vegetables, fruits, herbs) to supply the hotel kitchen and retail shop.
• Livestock Management (if applicable): Oversee the care and breeding of farm animals, ensuring ethical and health standards are met.
• Food Processing: Manage the processing of raw ingredients into value-added products (e.g., jams, cheeses, sauces, cured meats). Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP).
• Sustainability: Implement sustainable farming practices (composting, water conservation, integrated pest management).
• Staff Supervision: Manage farm workers and processing staff, including scheduling and safety training.
• Inventory & Cost Control: Track production yields and costs. Manage the inventory of seeds, feed, and processing supplies.
• Guest Experience: Conduct farm tours and workshops for guests, explaining the agricultural and processing processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in farm management or food production.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and agricultural best practices.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintaining farm equipment is a plus.
