JOB DETAILS:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations to assess patients' oral health and identify dental conditions requiring treatment.
- Diagnose and manage common dental conditions, including dental caries, gum disease, tooth infections and other oral health complications.
- Perform routine dental procedures, including tooth extractions, dental fillings, scaling and polishing.
- Develop appropriate dental treatment plans based on patients' oral health conditions and clinical assessments.
- Provide emergency dental care to patients experiencing acute toothaches, dental trauma and other urgent oral health conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive dental care and techniques for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
- Identify complex dental and maxillofacial conditions requiring specialized treatment and facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Monitor patients' recovery and treatment outcomes through scheduled dental follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate dental records, treatment documentation and patient histories.
- Ensure appropriate sterilization, maintenance and safe handling of dental instruments and equipment.
- Promote infection prevention and control within the dental department.
Requirements
- Relevant academic and professional qualifications for the position applied for.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence, where applicable.
- Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism and commitment to quality patient care.
