JOB DETAILS:

HR Space is seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Officer to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The position is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, vendor management, sourcing strategy, and inventory control. A key requirement for this role is specialized technical knowledge in procuring heavy commercial vehicle spare parts, specifically for HOWO and FAW truck fleets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, purchasing, and procurement of materials, equipment, and spare parts.
• Manage specialized procurement for heavy-duty truck components, particularly HOWO and FAW spare parts.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and contract agreements with vendors.
• Manage inventory control and tracking through enterprise procurement systems to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement guidelines, budget constraints, and delivery schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
• Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated hands-on experience in sourcing and procuring HOWO and FAW truck spare parts.
• Proven experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and inventory management.
• Technical proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) or procurement systems such as SAP, NG, or equivalent software.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
