Zonal Sales and Marketing Manager- Based in Arusha

The Zonal Sales and Marketing Manager will be reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing. The Zonal Sales and Marketing Manager must be located in the Southern Zone and will be based in Arusha.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop sales plans, strategies and programs for the field sales team

· Generate sales of company products in the regions through a team of field sales representative in order to achieve or exceed the monthly sales targets

· Conduct regular market visits to check the product and brand coverage, competitor activities and continuously search for new opportunities in order to increase sales in the zone

· Provide dealer and customers with information about the products and services in order to improve sales in the zone

· Plan and implement marketing activities to ensure that adequate marketing support through merchandising and promotions is available in the region, in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the regions

· Provide continual training and development of all members of the field sales team and role playing sales at branch level

· Attend key meetings with members of the sales team, constructors, engineers and Craftsmen to have best ways on how to attack new projects in the central zone

· Identify key areas for improvement in the sales process to get more sales and meet target set for your team

· Spot market opportunities for new customers, resident sites, business centre sites and dealers

· Attend monthly meetings with other senior members of the business to know where we need to change/improve, and work together as team and inter department

· Attend industry events, exhibitions and conferences to generate new business leads, skills and new strategies on how to tackle the building materials industry and competition

· Act as a spokesperson for the organization at sales events and conferences in Lake Zone when approved and required to do so, with the aim to advertise the company and its products

· Network with different related organizations which are regularly running projects and require our products in their activities in order to generate new business relationship, and make sales for the company through connections and business channel

· Send weekly and monthly field sales report against individual target and report on variances of the area, as well as update the plan for the coming week, month.

· Regular visits to different leads, customers and potential customers alongside sales executives to understand the difficultness, challenges and feedbacks from these potential customers to help the organization improve

· Cold call customers and sell services and products through phones and SMS as part of following up the clients

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skill

· Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Business, Administration, Sales & Marketing or any other related field

· A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Aggressive and hardworking

· Previous work experience in sales and marketing (preferably +/-1-2years)

· Written communication skills to create reports and training materials

· Verbal communication skills to delegate tasks to staff members

· Organization skills to manage projects and analyze multiple studies at once

· Good sales planning, implementing, monitoring and assessing /analytical skills

· Public speaking skills to give presentations and present oral reports

· Leadership skills to manage a team and assign them with tasks
