POSITION: TRUCK DRIVER
Location: Dar es Salaam – Kariakoo
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Safely operate and drive company trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to designated locations.
- Transport products, materials, and other company goods safely and on time.
- Conduct daily inspections of the assigned truck before and after trips.
- Assist with loading and offloading products and materials when required.
- Follow approved travel routes and adjust routes when necessary to avoid traffic congestion, road construction, or other delays.
- Ensure the safe handling and security of products and materials during transportation.
- Keep accurate records of trips, vehicle movements, deliveries, and fuel usage.
- Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Perform other driving-related duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Driving License Class E and Class D is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 years of proven working experience as a truck/heavy-duty vehicle driver.
- Must have practical experience driving large vehicles such as trucks, Scania, MAN, HOWO, heavy-duty vehicles, trailers, or other similar vehicles.
- Experience in long-distance or commercial transportation will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety rules and traffic regulations.
- Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify common mechanical problems.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in different locations and with different people.
- Ability to work under pressure and comply with the nature of the project’s work.
- Must be responsible, disciplined, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Must have good physical condition and be able to perform driving-related duties effectively.
- High level of integrity and commitment to company property and responsibilities.
