Job Description
As a Senior Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of Epiroc branded equipment such as rigs, loaders, and trucks. Your work supports high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to minimize downtime and enable customers to reach peak drilling and equipment operation performance.
Your Mission:
- Perform comprehensive preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on Epiroc equipment, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems, applying critical thinking and technical expertise.
- Conduct thorough equipment inspections utilizing the Epiroc Rig Scan Auditing tool, compiling detailed reports for customers and internal service administration to facilitate proactive maintenance planning.
- Lead commissioning and functional testing of new Epiroc equipment delivered to customers, ensuring operational readiness and providing hands-on training during the commissioning phase.
- Implement effective repairs aimed at minimizing operational downtime and enhancing equipment reliability in the field.
- Ensure all maintenance and service activities comply strictly with Epiroc safety protocols, site-specific procedures, and legal regulations to uphold a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including reports and parts usage, to support transparency and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and on-site personnel, fostering strong relationships grounded in trust and professionalism.
- Conduct root cause analyses for equipment failures, identify opportunities for operational improvements, and recommend corrective actions to enhance equipment performance and service quality.

Support installation, upgrade, and modification projects on equipment as required, collaborating cross-functionally to achieve project goals efficiently.
Your Profile:
To excel in this role, a candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar technical position, preferably within heavy equipment maintenance or related industries. A diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential.
Key competencies include:
- Strong technical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, drawings, and manuals.
- A safety-first mindset with robust risk assessment abilities.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-oriented approach.
- Capability to work independently in challenging field environments, demonstrating reliability and proactive problem-solving.
