JOB DETAILS:
Qualifications required:
• Master’s degree (or equivalent diploma) in environment, sustainable development, engineering, environmental sciences, urban planning or other directly related disciplines;
• Fluency (C2 level) in English is required;
• Good communication and drafting skills;
• Understanding of environmental rules and regulations;
• Knowledge of French (minimum B2) and/or Spanish (minimum B2) and/or Portuguese (minimum B2) would be an asset;
• Knowledge of development aid delivery methods would be an asset.
• Professional experience required:
• At least 10 years of professional experience in environment and/or climate change policies and projects and at least 2 cumulative years of experience in working in urban issues (e.g. circular economy, climate resilience, nature based solutions, pollution in urban contexts);
• At least 2 years of professional experience in working as technical expert in one of the following fields: a) project design and/or implementation and/or control and/or technical audit of solid and/or liquid urban waste manage-ment; b) project design and/or implementation and/or control and/or technical audit of climate change adaptation infrastructure;
• In situ, professional experience in developing countries20 of at least 2 years (cumulatively);
• Proven professional experience of developing pre-feasibility or feasibility studies would be an asset.
