A Bit About The Role
Reporting to the Country Manager for Tanzania, the ideal candidate will be required to lead the Zanzibar Market’s Sales, operations, campaigns, merchant retention activities & any other duties as assigned by the management
The main responsibilities are
Lead the Zanzibar team in new merchants acquisitionAgree on personal & team sales targets (shared separately), plan, initiate and execute sale meetingsCreate & execute on sales campaigns plus programs as well as reportingManage, own & oversee markets sales team meetings. schedule & follow up with clients each month, face-to-face, online and phone calls to generate new salesManage new merchants and ensure adequate after sales relationship managementLead in merchants’ reactivation initiatives plus ongoing client revenue management meetingsAssign sales rep responsibilities for specific sales projects & shared marketing campaignsTrain, uphold & implement (where relevant) the business sales proceduresOversee and participate in Customer Support activities as requested by Customer Support & OperationsVet all requests for new accounts (KYC) with recommendations (where relevant) to Sales Operations Manager, Country Manager – Tanzania or Regional Sales ManagerCompliance: Review all new merchants’ compliance per verticalPrepare and present weekly reports to the Country Manager – Tanzania and/or Regional Manager, based on sales targets, activities and achievements, deadlines, and market intelligenceParticipate in sales roadshows, workshops, client exhibitions and events as directed by Sales and/or Marketing Division

3+ Years of experience in sales managementStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenA great salesperson with strong negotiation skillsAbility to supervise a teamExperience in activity, task and sales reportingProven customer relations skillsProven track record in frontline sales and CRM system managementExcellent face-to-face + online presentation skillsConfidence, enthusiasm, and persuasive in natureGood time-management skillsThe ability to work under pressure and meet stipulated deadlinesPossess a sense of Responsibility, leadership and innovationWorking knowledge of hospitality, travel or e-commerce industriesMinimum 5 years’ background in sales with management sales experienceUnderstanding of MS Office System including Excel & PowerPointExperience in working with a CRM system desirableExperience of Res Systems, Virtual Card services (Booking.com, Expedia) & online channel managementadvantageousFluent & confident presenter.
