JOB DETAILS:
The Chief Development & Partnerships Officer (CDPO) leads the organization's resource mobilization, partnership, and business development strategy. This executive is responsible for diversifying revenue streams, cultivating high-value relationships, and building strategic alliances that fuel organizational growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and resource mobilization strategy.
- Lead major donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Build and manage a pipeline of institutional, corporate, and individual funders.
- Oversee grant strategy, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with NGOs, governments, corporates, and multilaterals.
- Represent the organization at high-level forums, conferences, and donor meetings.
- Set and monitor revenue targets; report progress to the Board and CEO.
- Oversee donor compliance, reporting, and stewardship standards.
- Lead and mentor the development and partnerships team.
- Identify new funding trends and opportunities (impact investing, social bonds, CSR, etc.).
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, International Relations, Development, Marketing, or related field.
- 10–15+ years in fundraising, business development, or partnerships, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Demonstrated success raising significant funds from diverse sources.
- Strong network across donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Expertise in proposal writing, donor relations, and grant management.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
