Job Overview
Mkumbi Investment is seeking qualified, motivated professionals for Land Surveyor and Town Planner roles based at its Ilala Boma head office in Dar es Salaam. Successful candidates will be responsible for field boundary data collection, operating modern surveying technology, preparing scheme maps, erecting beacons, managing town planning approvals, and assisting in file compilation for land registration.
Key Responsibilities
For Land Surveyor:
- Collect land boundary data for research, planning, official approval, and cadastral surveying processes.
- Operate advanced surveying instruments and equipment, including RTK machines, for property boundary coordination and staking out.
- Prepare accurate plot maps and survey drawings.
- Erect official survey beacons on designated land parcels.
- Assist in resolving land boundary disputes and conflict resolution.
- Compile complete survey files for submission and official land registration.
For Town Planner:
- Process Town Planning (TP) drawings and urban schemes for statutory approvals.
- Assist with architectural designs, spatial planning, and land-use mapping.
- Coordinate land data collection to support land-use planning projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
- Land Surveyor: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics / Cadastral Surveying.
- Town Planner: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in cadastral surveying, geomatics, or urban planning.
Age Limit: Between 21 and 35 years old.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating RTK GPS machines, land surveying software, GIS, and mapping tools.
Core Competencies: High accuracy in field data collection, map preparation, dispute resolution, and regulatory file compilation.

Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: bachelor degree
