Background
Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) is seeking to fill two Assistant Lecturer positions in Law within the School of Law and Justice (SoLJu). This role is crucial for supporting the academic and research endeavors of the school.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Lecturer will be responsible for:
- Delivering lectures and tutorials under the guidance of senior academic staff.
- Assisting in preparing course materials and assessments.
- Participating in departmental research and academic activities.
- Supporting students with academic projects and providing academic advice.
- Pursuing professional development and attending departmental meetings.
- Performing other duties assigned by university authorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Laws (LL.M) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from accredited higher learning institutions.
- A GPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 or a B+ score at Master’s level, and a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 5.0 at Bachelor’s level, or equivalent.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
Remuneration
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates, commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
