Job Summary
The Pest Control Supervisor is responsible for the prevention, monitoring, and elimination of pests (insects, rodents, etc.) throughout the property. This role is vital for maintaining the hotel’s reputation for cleanliness and adhering to health codes.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of all areas (kitchens, rooms, gardens, storage) for signs of pests.
Treatment: Apply approved pesticides, set traps, and utilize safe extermination methods.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of pest sightings, treatment schedules, and chemical usage. Ensure compliance with local waste disposal laws.
Preventative Measures: Identify structural weaknesses or sanitation issues that attract pests and report them to the engineering team.
Coordination: Work closely with the Hygiene Manager to coordinate kitchen cleaning schedules with pest treatment.
Vendor Management: Supervise external pest control contractors if services are outsourced.
Qualifications
- Valid Pest Control Operator (PCO) license or certification.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial pest control.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and environmental regulations.
- Physically fit (ability to crawl, climb, and stand for long periods).
