COMPANY INFORMATION
Compassionate Carbon Tanzania Ltd is a mission-driven organization launched by Compassionate Carbon LLC and Eden: People+Planet (Eden). Specializing in developing and implementing landscape-scale forest carbon projects through Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) and Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+), we collaborate with local communities to restore landscapes, create jobs, protect ecosystems, and mitigate climate change.

Our projects integrate nature-based solutions to help meet global emissions targets while ensuring community ownership and long-term sustainability. The Rubeho Mountains Carbon Project, a significant initiative in Tanzania, focuses on native forest restoration and community-based conservation efforts.

POSITION SUMMARY The Monitoring, Evaluation + Learning (MEL) Coordinator connects field implementation with the information needed to understand progress, learn, and improve. Working across Compassionate Carbon Tanzania’s Forest Protection, Livelihoods, Forst Restoration and Community/Stakeholder Engagement workstreams, the Coordinator strengthens practical monitoring systems, builds the capacity of field teams and community-based data collectors, and ensures that monitoring information is collected consistently and maintained to appropriate quality standards. The role works closely with the MEL + Data Quality Manager and Program Managers to identify trends and gaps, inform program decisions, strengthen implementation, and contribute to reliable reporting and carbon-standard verification.
