The
key purpose
of this role is to analyze, monitor and track the logistics cost of raw materials, finished goods and equipment that are imported and exported.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Analyze and track all landed costs
- Fully understand the purchasing flow process and how this impact landed costs
- Identify all cost elements associated with imported goods to get best estimate of landed costs
- All shipments to have a pre-costing analysis done to streamline receipting
- Ensure clearing costs and all other duties/regulatory costs are included in the cost of importation
- Ensure all variances between estimates and actual costs are calculated, analyzed and reported monthly for all shipments, clearly highlighting ad-hoc costs and currency fluctuations

Ensure all invoice posting and GRN for services rendered are done in line with company policies (within 48 hours)
KPI’s, Routines & Reports
- Ensures that Daily, Weekly and Monthly Meeting routines are adhered to in line with mandatory LCP & internal guidelines
- Ensures that processes are standardized via SOP's and work standards are monitored and improved
- Track KPI's on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in line with LCP requirements
- Ensures that appropriate problem-solving tools are applied for out of range KPI's in line with LCP methodology.
- Publish reports on time as per LCP guidelines and internal processes.
- Ensure all reports for clearing are filed and secured

Reconciliation of all goods received in a month (GRN, prepayments etc.)
Export Execution
- Responsible to identify Import and export opportunities across the region in collaboration with SCD and SNP country teams

Create and publish weekly and monthly dashboards monitoring Imports in Tanzania and exports out of Tanzania

Minimum Requirements:
- Logistics degree or another 3-year degree in related field such as Cost Accountant, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or commerce
- Preferably 3-5 years manufacturing cost accountant, imports clearing and forwarding and or inventory management experience
- FMCG Industry Experience

Knowledge of supply chain planning processes
