JOB DETAILS:

Background
Watumishi Housing Company (WHC) is a public entity established in 2013. WHC is a property developer and a licensed fund manager responsible for management of the WHC Real Estate Investment Trust (WHC-REIT). .

Duties and Responsibilities
• procurement plans across the company

• To attend to inquiries from bidders and suppliers

• To assist the Secretary to the Tender Board in preparing agenda for Tender Board meetings

• To maintain registers of all procurement and supply contracts

• To participate in tender evaluation

• To prepare compliance reports for submission to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority

• To prepare contract documents

• To provide support in review and evaluate procurement requirements and recommend appropriate alternative procedures

• To provide support to preparation, coordination and implementation of Annual

• Procurement and disposal plans

• To provide support in coordinate preparing tender bidding documents

• To provide support in conducting training in procurement and contract management

• To undertake any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor Degree in Materials Management, Procurement Management or any related equivalent qualifications with proven specialization or coverage in procurement;

• Must be registered by Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB) as Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional;

• Knowledge and Competence in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications;

• Knowledge and competence in using TANePS for procurement process management

• Possession of two (2) years’ work experience in undertaking procurement of force account construction projects in a reputable institution(s).
