Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The  Sales Manager – Camps  will drive business growth, client acquisition, and revenue generation for Serena Hotels’ luxury tented camps and safari properties across Tanzania. The position focuses on cultivating strategic partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, corporate accounts, and international travel planners.

• Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation:  Develop and execute commercial sales strategies to increase occupancy and revenue across Serena’s luxury safari camps.

• Client Relationship & Account Management:  Build and maintain strong business relationships with local and international tour operators, travel agents, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and corporate clients. Sales Manager Camps Vacancy at Serena Hotels

• Market Expansion & Contracting:  Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracting terms, and participate in trade shows or travel expos to expand market reach.

• Pipeline Monitoring & Market Intelligence:  Track sales leads, analyze industry trends, monitor competitor activities, and deliver accurate revenue forecasts to regional leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

• Experience:  Proven experience in hospitality sales, travel trade contracting, or commercial business development within the safari/camp tourism sector in Tanzania.

• Industry Knowledge:  In-depth understanding of the East African safari circuit, international tour operator networks, and luxury camp operations.

• Key Skills:  High-level negotiation, contract closing, account management, and excellent interpersonal and presentation capabilities.

• Language Proficiency:  Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
