About the Role
Port Anchor Logistics is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Documentation Officer to manage shipping documentation and coordinate clearing and forwarding operations. The role ensures the timely, efficient movement of cargo, strict adherence to customs regulations, and seamless communication with port authorities and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Verification: Prepare, verify, and process all shipping, customs clearance, and regulatory documentation accurately.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise closely with customs authorities, port officials, shipping lines, and transport providers to facilitate smooth cargo clearance.
Shipment Tracking: Track cargo movements, monitor clearance progress, and resolve any pending clearance requirements or duty issues proactively.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure full compliance with national customs regulations, trade laws, and company operating procedures while maintaining accurate physical and digital shipment records.
Client Communication: Provide regular shipment status updates and operational reports to clients and management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Clearing and Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Competencies: Strong understanding of customs clearance procedures, port operations, and shipping documentation.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and proficiency in office productivity tools.
