Background
The Tanzania Forest Service Agency (TFS) is seeking to fill 3 positions for Conservation Ranger III – Plant Operator. This role is crucial for the operational efficiency of the agency's forestry and conservation efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties include operating heavy-duty machinery such as wheel loaders, forklifts, and caterpillars. The role also involves assisting in the maintenance of these machines to ensure smooth operation, maintaining accurate logbooks and movement records, and ensuring machinery cleanliness and adherence to service schedules. Additionally, the Conservation Ranger III – Plant Operator will be expected to perform any other related duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must possess a Form four or six certificate along with a Trade Test Grade III/NVA Level I in Motor Vehicle Mechanics from a recognized institution. A Class F driving license is mandatory. Successful candidates will be required to attend and pass a military recruit course.
