Manager Credit Operations job at Diamond Trust Bank

Job Purpose

To lead and oversee the Credit Operations function, ensuring effective pre-disbursement controls, accurate booking and disbursement of credit facilities, portfolio monitoring, regulatory reporting, and management information reporting.

The role is responsible for maintaining strong operational controls, ensuring compliance with approved credit terms and regulatory requirements, driving process efficiencies, and supporting the bank's strategic and digital transformation objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit Operations function to ensure efficient and effective execution of all credit-related operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved credit facilities, internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust operational controls across the credit lifecycle.
• Ensure all required approvals are in place before credit facilities are utilized or disbursed.
• Oversee accurate booking of approved credit facilities within the Core Banking System and related platforms.
• Ensure timely and accurate loan disbursements in accordance with approved terms and delegated authorities.
• Monitor credit facility activity, repayment schedules, limit expiries, and facility performance.

Academic and Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIB, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of credit operations, lending processes, banking systems, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Core Banking Systems, Microsoft Office applications, and digital tools.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and operational control skills.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant banking experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in loan booking, disbursement, portfolio monitoring, and regulatory or management information system (MIS) reporting.
